my costume fall away
and reveal
me,
in all my
(heartbroken, joyful, hopeful,
damaged, beautiful, hurt,
worn-out, ugly, honest,
new, raw, real)
glory,
so i wait and see if anyone notices,
if anyone loves me enough
(to hold me,
to fix me,
to believe in me)
before i play dress up again,
because so far,
nobody does.
